Emerging Leaders

Ric Carlyon - Thursday, August 07, 2014

The first Emerging Leaders’ Course organised in Wellington by the Royal Federation has been praised by the two J.P.s who attended from Auckland.

The course is a Federation initiative, arranged under the auspices of the J.P. Education Trust and sponsored by the Gallagher Charitable Trust.
Auckland Association received 2 nominations, Yvonne Hawkins and Jade Wood and both attended the inaugural weekend course.

Yvonne is grateful for the opportunity to participate -
“…attendance for me emphasised the need for continuing development as a J.P. to keep pace with the ever-changing demands and that the value of networking cannot be underestimated”.

Jade also thanked those involved - “…my congratulations to all those who organised it. This type of event will surely increase the quality of people coming through to leadership positions both in local Associations and in the Federation". The pair will be formally reporting to the Auckland Association's Council at one of its future meetings. Pictured: The Emerging Leaders' Course in session.
